Sydney cried her eyes out. It was horrible. Her almost mother was just gone off the face of the earth. Well her body wasn't but you know what i'm getting at. She wiped her face. It was completely red and tear stained. She sniffled and tried to pull herself together. She knew Zach was feeling sorry for her. And he should since one of the most important people in her life had just passed away without any type of notice. Only a few days ago on the phone with her Grandma she sounded as healthy as a horse. Sydney stopped sobbing for a little bit but was still crying but softly. "You would? Really? Oh god thank you." She wrapped her arms around him and put her head on his shoulder. SHe was so happy he would go with her. She wouldn't be able to stand it alone.
But what also struck her was her grandmother had never gotten to see Ember. And before Sydney had left with Zach, she would always say that she would have fun playing with Ember while her and Zach were out or something. She wiped away a few tears and sat in silence and rocked back in forth with Zach as he tried to call her down. She wiped away a few more tears and sighed. "I'll be ok.." She whispered but it was loud enough for him to hear it hopefully. She wasn't exactly in the mood to repeat herself...

Zach didn't know what to do. Sydney was pretty much balling her eyes out. And Ember was starting to make noise. He sighed. "Why wouldn't I? I mean, I would do anything for you. I love you." He said. He rubbed her back until Ember started to scream. That wasn't long. He groaned. He pushed her off of him for a moment then walked over to Ember's crib. He picked her up and walked back to the bed. He laid her down next to her mother and laid down next to Ember.
"Sydney. You're not okay. I know that you're very upset. She was like your mother, since you lost your mother." He said softly. He reached out to her face and touched her gently. He rested his head on the pillow and Ember curled up next to Sydney and started to pull her hair. She wanted to be with her mother at the moment, which was okay with Zach because he was so tired. He yawned and looked at them both. "She's like a clone. Its like I'm not even there at all." He laughed slightly.

Sydney look up at Zach and kissed his cheek gently and then laid her head back on his shoulder. She sighed when she heard Ember start to scream. Watching Zach get her out of her crib she smiled at how much he looked like a good guy. And well he really was. Most people saw the...well..horrible side to him. Sydney had it made. She got to see the great side of him. A really good husband. She smiled and looked at Ember. Which only made her smile more. It was a good feeling to know that Sydney was caring for another human being. And honestly they were doing a good job. She was a good kid. Probably because she took after Sydney more. Sydney gave Zach a look "Zach i'll be fine for now. The only thing we have to worry about is when the funeral is and how we are going to get the money to fly out there." She sighed and closed her eyes as Zach touched her face gently. She felt Ember tug on her hair.
Sydney just smiled at Ember. She picked her up and raised her up over her head making airplane noises which made her giggle. Unlike her mother she loved to be picked up really high. Well ok Sydney loved being man-handled by Zach but that wasn't important. Ok so she really wanted just some alone time with Zach but again, that wasn't the important thing. She smiled at Ember as she giggled. Just like her mother "Your right. She is a clone." Sydney smiled as she continued to play with the baby.

Zach bit his lip. He was quiet for a little while. "Do you think that we should have put her up for adoption?" He asked. Sure, he didn't want to, but he was thinking about it. Without Ember around, they would have a lot more money in the house. He would have a job, but he doesn't have one because someone has to be with Em all the time. "Um. Never mind. Don't answer that." He mumbled. He looked at the ceiling. "You would be surprised on what I have in a bank account. Remember, I had a lot of families. Each one put in a good five grand in when I was with them I have money if we need it." He said.
there was a reason he didn't tell her about that. He didn't think that she would need to know. "And there is more in there...May put in a lot more then you would think... and Marie too since well, I was depressed when she was there." He added after a moment. "I was going to tell you, but I actually forgot about it for a while.." He said. Lies. And he was good at lying. He didn't tell her because he only ever used it for was in case something happened to them.
"I told you! See! I was just used to make her, I'm not there at all in here. Just her pretty blue eyes. That's it. Nothing else is me!" He whined, in a joking way. He pouted at her. "I thought I would be shown in her a lot more. Not just her you know, bad luck and eyes." He whined. "I want another baby...maybe a baby boy this time." He was just babbling now. He was so overtired that he had no idea what he was talking about anymore. He was just talking his thoughts. "She is exactly like you. But she likes Gabriel, and she loves people holding her. You don't." He said calmly.
What the fuck was he talking about? Nothing in particular. "Oh! Or, we can adopt a little boy, so then he doesn't end up with the same kind of life I did." He said. he didn't want anyone else to end up with the same life he did. Sure he didn't like it when he was moved around, not he hated it, but at least he finally found Sydney. He wanted to give another kid a chance, one that wouldn't end up in another home after home after home. He was just talking now, and if she didn't want to listen to him, he wouldn't care. He coughed and sneezed. Though, he was serious about adopting another kid. Definitely older then Ember though. Maybe around six or seven.

Sydney sighed and looked at him in the eyes but was still holding Ember over her head. She turned her head back to the baby but turned her head at light speed when he asked her if they should give her up for adoption. "N..." She was just about to answer when he told her not to answer. She closed her mouth and set Ember on her chest. She seemed to find her boobs a good pillow. She smiled and stroked the little baby's head. Sighing she listened to Zach at he talked. She looked down at the baby. Why in the world..out of all people...he...would be the one to ask to maybe put her up for adoption? This was totally confusing for her. She knew that Zach loved this baby more than anything in the world...besides her.
Sydney turned her head towards him "So your telling me you kept forgetting to tell me that you had money that could easily help us out right now? Especially when we needed it the most about a month ago?" Sydney didn't really mean to but she was a little irritaed at him. If he had so much money in it then how come he kept forgetting. She thought I don't think someone could think about thousands of dollars... She figured she should just drop it. But now she knew that if she was down to the last resort than that was at least an option...course it was up to Zach since it is his money anyways...
Sydney giggled "Oh shutup. She may have a lot of me in her but that just means she will love you even more. If she's so much like me she won't ever leave your side." She smiled at him. She loved how he acting like a little baby. Then again it was a little irritating. But it was good to see a humor in him every once in while. It just made her smile. Sydney gave him a weird look "Another baby? Well let me say a few things that are wrong with that... One...it would not be at all easy for me to go to school... Two...that would take another thousand out of our pockets a month.. Three...you and i would get way less sleep than we already get... So i don't think so." She shook her head at that. If he really wanted another baby she may consider it but she was still tired and money dry from just having one...
Sydney tilted her head...Adopt? Ok now where was his brain? She had no clue why out of the blue he wanted to have another kid. But it was a good idea. A kid around six or seven wouldn't be as hard to take care of. they could at least do stuff their selves, and don't need diapers. All it would be is a little extra money for food. And Sydney could take him or her to school in the morning on her way to work or school. Now she was starting to warm up to that idea...

Zach nodded. "Well... Uh... I never actually needed it, and forgot about it. I mean, I've had other things to worry about you know. I just kinda remembered it. I'm stupid I know I know." He said. He was so overtired that if she looked at him, she would be able to tell that he had no idea what he was saying. He looked at her and blinked. "If you want too, we can use it to pay for your grandmother's funeral and things of that sorts." He said. There was maybe a hundred grand in there, now that he thought about it.
Zach smiled at her "I hope you're right. I don't want to have my baby girl to leave me for youu" He said. He was kidding of course. Though he looked at her, his eyes were purple they were that tired. "I guess you're right.." He said pouting at her. "I didn't sleep before you were pregnant, when you where pregnant and not now. I think I'm fi-" He was cut off by a yawn. He was so tired. He shook his head and touched Embers face.
"Okay.. I have no idea where my brain is anymore." He said. He yawned again and stroked Embers face softly. He smiled at them both. He yawned again and pulled the blanket over his head. he popped his head out and said "Peek-a-boo!" He smiled as ember started to giggle. He kept doing it for a while.

Sydney smiled at him. She realized something. He was so tired that he wasn't even aware of what he was saying. Ok so now she knew why he was whying and talking about another kid. Ah..that explained lots... She sighed and looked down at Ember. God she loved her to death. Now she could understand in movies when the mothers baby is either taken away from the mother or killed. She would probably be the same way. Wether is was Zach or Ember in that situation. Ok so anything she really really cared about. But it was ok. She loved to know that she had things in her life that actually mattered. Though her grandma was dead now..she still had Zach and Ember. Sighing she looked at Zach and said "Don't worry about it. My aunt has it already paid for it. I just wish that I could have seen her just one more time before she died." Sydney looked down and felt a tear trickle down her cheek.
Sighing she wiped it away hopefully before Zach could notice. Turning her head towards him she said "gosh Zach you really really need some sleep." God there was purple under his eyes. It looked like he had been doing drugs though she knew that...or at least she really hoped that he wasn't doing drugs. But every part of her was saying that he wasn't. And if he said he wasn't she trusted him enough to know that he wasn't. She sighed and talked to him "Zach you seriously need to sleep. I have Ember don't worry about it." She hoped he would just eventually have enough and pass out.
Sydney smiled at him "Oh so like you had one in the first place?" She giggled along with Ember. The laughs almost sounded identical only Ember's was higher of course.

"Then we will use the money to book a flight to get there" He said. He nodded. He wanted to use the money for her, and if that was what she wanted, then that is what she will get. Anything for her. He would really do anything for her. He stayed up when Ember wanted to be awake, and was a very good father, compared to what everyone else thought he was going to end up being. They all thought that he was going to be the worst father, showing this kid suicide and cutting and all that grand old stuff. But no, Zach didnt want his baby girl into anything like that. Though if she wanted to dye her hair and do things of that sort that was fine with him.
"No no. Its okay. I'm fine. Really." He argued, though he was slowly fighting and loosing with his eye lids. After being up for three nights straight he needed some sleep. After about a moment he was out cold. His hand was still on top of Ember, and now that he was out cold, he was just a dead weight.
"I do too have a brain, and you know it." He said, still out cold. Great, now he was talking in his sleep. What was next for him, sleep walking? Probably. He pulled the blankets closer to him and sneezed. He still had his hand on Ember's tiny back.

Sydney listened to him talk and rolled her eyes "Well if it will get you to shut up about money right now then yes we'll book a flight there. The funeral is in two weeks. I wish they didn't wait so long. She just...won't look right to be. I mean besides the fact that she will be paler than you." She was just joking on that last part and it actually made her giggle a little bit. She smiled and stroked Ember's cheek. She was asleep now. It seemed that the slow rise and fall of her chest just lulled her to sleep in a few minutes. Sydney turned away from the baby's head and yawned.
Here we go again Honestly she loved it when she was at work during the day. Otherwise the whole day they would be fighting about if he needed to sleep. "No your no-" She rolled her eyes as she watched him drift off into sleep land. She jumped when he started talking in his sleep. "Wow" She mumbled to herself. She knew that he was probably getting sick again. And she hated that he was so stubborn about going to the docotor. Then again he practically lives his life inside the very thing he hates with all of his life. She sighed and fell asleep herself with Ember still fast asleep on her chest. it was a good time to have a nice family nap together...

After an hour or so, Zach got up. He didn't want to, but he woke up. He slowly got out of bed, and looked at Sydney and the baby. He walked to the door. He watched them for a moment. he walked out and went into the bathroom. He turned around to shut the door and he sighed. He looked awful. He coughed and looked at his hands. They were bright red with blood. At least he was home now, and he would stop right? He hoped so.
He turned and turned the shower on, before he looked back in the mirror. He needed to shave too, and take a shower. He stripped and got into the shower, coughing and sneezing the whole time. He washed his hands, and mouth out. He didn't want to have her find his blood and that he was coughing it up again. It scared everyone the first time, but Garrett was around then, though it was just before he killed himself. It was only the few days before then. He remembered that he was told to meet Eliza when he was out of the hospital, because she needed him. That's when he found out he was gone.
There was no one to help him now. Eliza was busy doing what ever she was doing, and Sydney had her school work and job. He was stuck with Ember now. When he couldn't even make dinner for himself, he and to do it for her. He sighed and coughed, the blood running down his mouth and sighed. He put his face into the water, watching the red water go down his chest and into the drain.
After a while, he got out. He wrapped a towel around his waist and took out his razor. He shaved, because he was needed to do that soon. He dried himself off and started to get dressed. There was no way that she was going to ever know that he was coughing up blood. He spent so much time in the place that he was terrified of, and he hated that, to the point were he would murder someone if he was there more then a few days at a time.

Sydney was fast asleep soon but woke up when she heard Zach get up and walk out of the room. Ember was still fast asleep so she just held her gently and walked out into the living room. She could hear the shower on in the bathroom. She sighed and put Ember in her crib as she slept. Sydney stroked her soft face once and then heard the shower shut off. She could probably use a shower for herself. She would have to wait until he was out. Sydney could hear him coughing and sneezing in the bathroom. And then the sink water running. When he coughed again she walked over to the door and knocked on it softly "Zach? Are you ok in there?" Great, she knew that he was sick again. She just hoped it was just a small cold. If it was he would be fine by the next day.
She sighed and walked away from the door and into the kitchen. She really wished that he wasn't sick today. Ok she hated to sound horny but they hadn't done it in like a month. Like i said. She doesn't like to sound horny. It is just weird sometimes. She guessed they havent because he is either sick, tired, or Ember is awake and crying. She sighed and made herself cheeze stuffed ravioli covered in meat sauce and mozerilla cheeze. She stood in the kitchen and ate her food. She didn't feel like eating at the table. She leaned against the counter as she ate and enjoyed every bite of the food. She was starving.
After she finished Sydney walked over to the sink and washed the plate then put it back in the cupboard. She hated how she wa so organized. Walking into the living room she sat down on the couch and flipped through channels while she waited for Zach to get out of the bathroom so she could go in.

Zach looked up as she knocked on the door. "Yeah" He choked out before coughing up more blood. He washed out his mouth a few times, only to cough more. He swallowed the blood back down. He wasn't going to let her find out, he didn't want to go to the hospital again. He was glad that the last time he was there was when Sydney was in labor with Ember. Though, they should do it soon, though he was never in the mood. He was always sick or tired, or she was never around, or Ember wanted them.
He walked out of the bathroom after pulling on his pants and boxers. He didn't bother with a shirt, it wasn't like his chest was that bad either. He still wanted to get a tattoo of a skull on his abdomen. He thought that it would be so cool. It wouldn't be a huge skull, but a good sized one at least. He sat down on the couch. He made sure that before he walked out that there was no blood on him. At all. though, he did cut his chin while he was shaving, but it stopped bleeding a little while ago.
He laid back in the couch, his abs were sticking out and he smiled at her. "I love you." He said after a moment. If he started to cough and blood came back up, he was screwed. He didn't want her to know about how sick he was. He would be fine. He wasn't going to let himself die. It was just the way he was now. He didn't want to die.

Sydney heard Zach come out of the bathroom. she could tell that he shaved. She was happy that he did. She loved clean shaved men. Beards were just a big turn off to her. She looked at him as she walked into the living room and sat by her. She smiled at him. She leaned in and kissed his cheek "Love you too." She said just before getting up to go and take a shower. She walked into the bathroom, striped down and got into the shower. It felt really nice to have the warm water against her skin. Plus she seriously needed one. she smelled really bad.
She got out of the shower. Ugh of course she forgot to bring clothes in with her. She walked out of the bathroom with only a towel on and in to the bedroom. She pulled on a pair of faded blue jeans and then a white tanktop with a blank tank top on top of it. She sighed and walked back into the bathroom. Putting on her makeup she hummped to herself quietly. She blow dried her hair to make it the way she always had it. She needed to cut her hair soon. It was getting kinda long. She smiled at herself in the mirror and then walked back out into the living room. She sat down on the couch right next to Zach and pulled out her book and reading glasses. She started to read.

Zach smiled at her when she kissed his cheek, though he didn't want anyone near him because he was sick. He didn't want Ember sick, and what ever he had could kill him, and would easily take her life. He ran his hand though his hair, the cut was almost healed, which was a good thing. He bit his lip, the studs of his spider bites going into his mouth, cutting his gum.
He watched her come back into the room and he looked away from her. "How bad to I honestly look? Cause I feel about the same when Garrett and Eliza were taking care of me when I was sick then." He admitted. That was how bad he felt, and he was so sick then it was only a 50/50 chance that he would live through that. He coughed. No blood. At least that was a good thing. Right?
He looked back at her, then at Ember's crib. He loved her, but he didn't want to be near here. "I'll go out tomorrow to get more food." He said, knowing that they needed more food. "You can watch her right?" He asked.

sydney was just not in the mood right now. Maybe she was PMSing or something. But whatever it was she would go off like a firework if someone made her upset in any way. God she hated that. One of the worst qualities in a girl. She sighed and look at Zach to answer his question. He looked...awful. He looked as white as a ghost and looked kinda skinny like he had lost some weight. Sydney bit her lip and said "Honestly..you've looked better." She said not being too black and white about it. She was pretty sure he had pnumonia again. Which honestly she really didn't want to have yet another medical bill. She actually could just stop by wallgreens or something and pick up a perscription for him. It wasn't too hard. Ever since he had it the first time, the doctor gave her a slip of paper saying that they could get them whenever if he had the same illness.
She turned to look at him "Don't worry, i'm not going to take you to the doctor." She rolled her eyes knowing that that was what he was thinking. She nodded at his talking. She wasn't exactly in the mood to suffocate him with her worry.
