"I've met people bigger then myself thank you." He said. "And you my dear, can't move me. You have no muscles at all." He added. He couldn't help but laugh at her. "But I love to poke your flubber. It's fun." He said. He was laughing the whole time. Flubber. She didn't have any of it. She was perfect the way she was, and he didn't want her to change. He smiled at her innocently. "You know it babe." He said.
He kissed her back for a moment then let her go. He watched her."I would be concerned if other men were touching you." he said. He raised his eye brows when she kissed him. "Excuse me. My lips are up here. not there. here." He said, pointing to his lips. "They like being kissed more." He added.
"You love my muscles and you know it. I looked like a skeleton when you left me, and stopped eating. I was going to drop dead with in that week if i didn't see you again." He said. It was true, by then he was so close to starving to death that it was scary ass hell. It was bad when a guy looked like a skeleton. made fun of, anything. That was mostly the reason why he dropped out. That, and he didn't want to go to school anyway so he took care of Em when Sydney went to school.
"Really?!? I have a heartbeat. I thought I was the living dead, coming to eat your brains." He said, the last part in a voice that sounded like Lord Volemort from Harry Potter.

Sydney raised both of her eyebrows "I didn't think anyone could be bigger than you. I just think that's impossible." She smiled. Why was she smiling so much? Oh yeah, she was on top of her husband and calling him a sasquach. That explains it. She smiled at the sound of him laughing "Oh wow, when you laugh it moves my whole body." She giggled. She was glad that they were talking, like really talking, not just a few questions here and there like they do when they are both either too tired or busy to. Sydney wouldn't ever dare think about regretting or taking back marrying him. Sure she may have said that while she was in a fight with him but hey, that was when she was mad and couldn't bring her common sense into herself. That was gone now, all that was left was her common sense thank god.
Sydney smiled at him and said "Uh, for one though I wouldn't even let another guy touch me, unless it was my little brother." She smiled. She probably would have to visit her grandma soon. She really missed the both of them. It was hard to think that about a year ago she had just met Zach and moved in with her grandmother. And when you think about it, it didn't really take long for Zach to realize that he wanted to marry her, I mean they were only dating for about a year when they got married and had a kid.
Sydney smiled at him again and said "I know but I just felt that your muscles needed a bit of lovin." She giggled and leaned up to kiss him on the lips. It was a good five second kiss before she pulled away to say "Yes, I do love your muscles very much. Im not going to deny it." She giggled and listened to him speak "Well I am totally glad we met up again." She said nuzzling her face into his neck.

"I'm not that big you know." He said. "I have no idea how big my biological father is. I never met him. For all I know, he could be bigger then me." He said. He rolled his eyes at her. "I think its just cause your are tiny. A tiny tiny girl." He laughed again.
Zach smiled and wrapped his arms around her. Damn, he wanted to sleep. Sometimes he wished that he never got her pregnant with Ember. They were eighteen, and a baby. Really, they could have waited a longer time, but they didn't. Zach forgot that magical thing called a condom, and Sydney wasn't on her pill. Oh well, out of all that he got the best baby he could ask for. Ember.
"Oh really now? Now I have to fight for you with your... nine year old brother is it? I don't remember my brother-in law. God.. that is so strange.. to think your brother is an uncle.." He said. That was just a creepy thought. "You know that the fact we had Ember while we are eighteen means that we're going to be grandparents. Ew.. I don't want to be old... an old emo.." The thought of an emo old man made him laugh.
"Eh. My lips like it betterr." He said. He kissed her back for a few seconds. "Told you. I win." He said. He smiled at her. He frowned instantly. "You realize I've been trying to forget last night right..." He said calmly. He looked at his wrapped up wrist. He broke his promise, and he never meant to, but it just happened. He couldn't remember why he carried a razor in his pocket. Oh, it was one of his very old sweatshirts, and that was why it was still in there. He never took them out of his cloths.
Damn. He probably should have looked. He sighed a little and let her snuggle up into him. He laid is arms on her back, and laid there.

Sydney gave him a look. "Oh bullshit. Your huge..in a good way. And i'm tiny..." She bit her lip and smiled. She smiled at Zach and said "Yeah, and i bet he could kick your ass if he wanted to." She giggled. "Oh and by the way, he's eight, he'll be nine next month. Which I think i'm gonna go and visit them around then. I need to be there for my brother." She smiled and knew that Zach would soon insist on coming with her to see the last of her family and that was ok too.
She rolled her eyes "I know they do. And since when did your lips get a mind of their own?" She gave him a weird look. She was happy that she got to spend time with him like this. While Ember laid asleep a few feet away, her and Zach just had a good time just being with each other. And right now to Sydney, that's all that mattered. She smiled and said "Who said we were playing a game?" She smirked and bit her lip. She looked down at him serious. "Of course...what would make you think of it again?" Ok now by asking him a question about last night, doesn't that just bring the thought back in his mind? She wasn't sure.

Zach rolled his eyes at her. "Yeah Yeah. You love me anyway though." He said. He looked at her. "Last time I saw your brother, he was only up to my waist. You are at least to here on me." He said, touching about his mid chest, roughly were she was on him. "You're not that tiny." He laughed. He looked at her. "I was close. For how much sleep I get, I could get a lot of credit for my guessing about him." He made a face. Zach looked at her after a moment. "Do you want me to go with you to visit your family?" He asked. Family was still such a touchy subject with him. Sure he had one now, but he had no relative and wouldn't ever have any.
He yawned again. "Since now." He said. Personally, he thought her kissing him other then his face and neck was strange, and very very creepy. Ever time she did that his whole body got goose bumps. It was just creepy for him. "Uh.. No one?" He said, with a questioning voice.
"You did. You brought it up. You were happy we made up about last night." He said. He shivered again. He was still cold about that night. it was easily below zero and he was frozen time that they were back inside the mall. He shivered and turned his head away from her and sneezed. He was about to look at her when he sneezed again, then coughed.
Oh yeah. He was sick.

Sydney rolled her eyes and smiled at him "Of course I do. Otherwise I....nevermind" She stopped herself from saying it. She wasn't going to bring the thought in his head that of she didn't love him...she wouldn't be married to him. Especially since they were sort of on the subject from yesterday in the parking garage. Which honestly she wished that they could move on with that. And they could have if she wasn't stupid enough to bring it up.
Sighing she looked out the window and then back at the wall that shewas staring at before. She listened him show where she was tall wise to his body. "I am when my almost nine year old brother is only about 4 inches shorter than me." She said not looking at him but continued to look at the wall. She listened to him talk and smiled when he said 'since now' it just made her giggle. She smiled and sighed.
"Hey, i'm sorry for bringing that up...i really shouldn't have." She smiled down at him and then looked out the window to see again that there was freezing rain outside, great. Perfect. The best thing she needed when she needed to go to school in the morning, maybe she would just skip tomorrow, she still had a few days that she could take off. She heard him talk "If you want to, my little brother loves you, it's just my grandma i'm still trying to get on my side. It's not like she hates you but she doesn't exactly like you either. And she's still debating if she should or shouldn't come all the way out here and try to convince me to leave you." She giggled when she finished "She would just be wasting her time." She turned to look at him and kissed him on his neck, and then laid her head back down on his chest. She gave him a look "Ok I'm staying home tomorrow so you can get some rest, your sick and don't deny it." it was going to be a big battle to try and convince zach to rest tomorrow while she took care of Ember, but she wasn't really in the fighting mood, and she was no way in hell going to leave Ember's little immune system around her sick father all day long. She wasn't stupid.

Zach just looked at her. He curled up on the couch and coughed again. He looked at her. "Then he's either tall, or your just short" He said
"Its okay. You're forgiven" He said. He snugged into her as best that he could. He looked at her, and his face fell "Oh." He said. "W-Why doesn't she like me?" He said. "She liked before.." He whispered. What did he do? Other then get her knocked up. "Is it cause I knocked you up? Cause I never meant to.. or is it cause I nearly died after wards." He asked. He was really hurt that her grandmother didn't like him. Sure, he never met her and all but still. "Maybe I shouldn't go. And just stay home with Ember. Unless you want to take her." He said.
"Don't. Really. We'll be fine. You can't skip school. I mean, you could call in sick but don't." He said. He didn't want her to take care of him, which she would if she was to stay home.

Sydney smiled at him and cuddled with him on the couch "yeah..." She sighed. She wasn't going to carry on this 'small' conversation anymore...haha...get it? Nevermind. Sydney smiled at him. SHe was so glad she was married. And no way was she ever, ever, ever going to regret it even if her and Zach got in some fight, or something that would make her think that she wanted to. She may say that but it's not like she would actually mean it. Sydney turned to face him. She had her forehead touched to him and was as close as she could get to him. She sighed and shrugged. "Like I would know. Maybe it's because she thinks that you 'made' me move here with you to start our family. I don't get it. But just don't worry about her, i'm sure she'll get over it. She's just most likely still a little mad I left from living there. And I just don't get why she thinks I still need to be living at home like i'm not independant in any way."
Sydney sighed and looked up looking into his eyes "Zach..would you want to come meet my family? I mean the part that hasn't met you yet? I have a few relatives you still need to meet." She was being serious but used a soft voice. Sydney shrugged at the thought of just her going "I don't know. I think they would like to see Ember. I'll ask my grandma and see what she thinks. Though i will debate with her on how you are a good guy, and husband. I'll make her like you. Trust me." She smiled and looked him in the eyes. She tilted her head and kissed him lightly on the lips. She pulled back after about four seconds and smiled.
"No i'll stay home. I still have like four days I can take off of classes for the rest of the semester. I'm not going to fight with you on this. I'm staying home to take care of Ember while you rest. I won't do anything for you if you don't want me too..." she paused.""I just don't want Ember to get sick. She kinda has your bad luck and a small enough immune system as it is. I just don't want to go to the hospital again for something like that." She was being serious but again was using a soft and gentle voice.

Zach looked at her. "Oh.." was about all he said. he didn't know what to say. So, it was his fault. Just because they both wanted to move and start somewhere new and safe for Ember. Just his fault. Of course it was his fault. It seemed to him that everything was his fault.
"I don't know. I highly doubt that they will like me. I mean, I'm eighteen, an emo fagot and a father. Why would they like me?" He rolled his eyes. "Oh yes. Cause your grandmother just loves me" He said. "Just like my parents did." He kissed her back.
"It doesn't matter. I don't want you to get in trouble for me being sick. Ember's immune system is stronger then mine. Not by much, but at least stronger then her fathers." He said. He sneezed and coughed. "Like I ever meant to give her my bad luck." He said. "If we have another kid, he better not get more of me in him." he growled, before coughing.

Sydney knew that he didn't want to go. And she couldn't help but have this feeling inside of her that she wasn't going to be able to convince him to come along with her. Though she hated that after all that she has done for him, provided for him, brought him a baby girl, cooked, cleaned, he still wouldn't get a job so she was still on her own on that one, he didn't want to do this one little thing for her. This one thing that would mean a lot to her. She would seriously take this to heart if he actually came. She sighed and didn't say anything. She was actually just plain pissed off right now. If he wasn't such a stubborn ass maybe she wouldn't be pissed off. She just hated this. Wasn't the woman suppost to be the one taking care of the kid and the man was suppost to get the job? Obviously not in this situation...
Sydney sighed and listened to him talk. She had her hand over his waist and sighed "Yeah." She said with anger clearly filling her voice. YOu would seriously have to be stupid to not realize that she was getting pissed off. She wasn't even looking at him when she talked now. "Zach i'm staying home tomorrow I don't care what you say. I'm staying home so you can rest and i'll take care of Ember. I think she should get to know her mother as well." She said kind of in a bitchy tone.
Sighing she stood up and walked into the bedroom and locked the door behind her. She knew that he would probably think that she was cutting herself. She turned to her right, there was a piece of shattered glass. She thought about it for a moment, but then turned her head away. She wasn't going to do that, no matter what. She sighed and laid on the bed. Her face in the pillow. She didn't feel like speaking right now. She just wanted to be alone. Sydney was completely hiding that her grandma passed away a few days ago, that was the only reason she wanted to go and visit and have Zach with her. Actually that may have been a good thing to tell him. But she was in so much pain right now that she couldn't bring her common sense to her thoughts. Sydney cried but it was very muffled by the pillow. She felt like screaming but decided not to. She just laid there on the bed and sobbed.

Zach looked at her. All he did was nod. He didn't want to fight with her. "Alright." He said. He winced a little when she slammed the door, and Ember woke up. She was screaming. He got up and picked her up. She was hungry. He sighed. He walked over to the door, and knocked on it.
"Sydney. I'm sorry okay. I'll go. I promise. Ember is hungry, please let me in." He said softly, but loud enough that she would hear him. "I didn't mean to get you angry. But I don't know if they will like me at all. And I don't want to make you're grandmother mad at me" He said. He didn't want her grandmother mad at him. He knew that she was like a mother that she never had for her. Zach didn't have that. He didn't have anyone to look up to. He was use to never having family.
"Sydney. I promise I will go." He said. He knocked on the door again.

Sydney instantly heard Ember's screaming from out in the living room. If she was hungry Sydney was seriously not in the mood, though she would have to feed her anyways. She sighed and wiped away a few tears. She sniffled a little bit. Course in things like this, she was just stubborn. She heard him on the outside of the door trying to reassure her that he would go with her. Sydney rushed out off the room with a bottle of milk. She was big enough for a bottle, it was still breast milk though. She sighed and gave her the milk and still didn't say anything or even look at Zach.
She let Ember finish the milk and soon she was fast asleep. It only took her five minutes to give her the bottle and get her to sleep. It was like she was pro at this. Which was pretty surprising since she was only eighteen. She sighed. And leaned against the wall and crossed her arms. She had a tear falling down her face. She put her hand to her face and covered her eyes. She started to sob more. She bent down and was on her toes like she was a catcher for baseball. She fell back and landed with her back on the wall and her knees pulled up to her chest and her sobbing with her head hanging down. She continued to sob.
She knew this had to be hard to watch for Zach. Mostly because he couldn't stand it even if she shed a tear. Which actually made her feel good. It made her feel like someone was there for her and was always by her side no matter what. Her arms were wrapped around her legs and she sobbed her eyes. She continued to mumble to herself "It isn't fair." But softly so you couldn't hear it unless you were right next to her. She couldn't even make it back into the bedroom to start sobbing again, she just had to right there and then right next to Ember's crib. Sydney couldn't control it, the closest family she had besides her aunts, uncles, etc. Her grandmother was just like her mother and there was no thing in this world to bring her back and it just wasn't the best time for her right now. She was so stressed out with taking care of the baby, going to school, paying bills, working 24/7. When she wasn't working, she was at school, and sometimes helping Zach out with Ember somewhere inbetween. And Zach thought that he was tired?

Zach handed her to her mother and watched them. He watched her for a while, then saw the tear roll down her face. He gasped slightly. "Sydney." He said. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. He hated it when she cried, mostly because when he ever cried he was just screamed at. He kissed the top of her head.
"What's wrong?" He asked. He sat down with her and pulled her close to her "What's wrong? Is it something I said? Something that your grandmother said? Please. Tell me." He said. He wrapped his arms around her more and pulled her onto his lap.
He hated it when she cried. It wasn't right to him to watch her suffer. "I'll do anything for you." He said. He kissed her forehead. He picked her up after a moment and put her down on the bed. He crawled up next to her and let her rest on his chest.

Sydney sighed and gasped for air after sobbing for so long. it was just not fair for her. Everything was hard right now. Now that she was out on her own she was in big trouble. Because her grandma would always help her pay bills and everything. And sometimes if Sydney was running low in money, even pay them for her. and now she was just...gone...completely gone. And nothing that she could do was going to bring her back. She heard Zach call her name but she didn't even look up. She wasn't going to show him the pain in her eyes. It would be harmful to him and to her. She looked up at him "I need you to come with me back to our town..." She took in a deep breath and then let it out and said "you won't have to worry about my grandma" Of course she wasn't blankly going to come out and say 'my grandma's dead so you can come with me to the old town now.' no that just wasn't her to say something like that.
Sydney kept on sobbing. She could feel him wrap his arms around her but she only cried more when he said 'Something that your grandmother said?' That just made her be reminded of her more which of course made her cry more. Her grandma was like a mother to her, and just like her real mother, she was gone out of her life forever. When he pleaded for her to tell him she just shook her head. She laid her head on his shoulder but only to use it to cry on. She loved though how he was there for her, and why shouldn't he be? His wife was obviously upset about something. And she knew she would have to tell him sometime but couldn't bring words up through her throat...just tears. She listened to him speak but didn't answer like he didn't say anything at all. It was almost like she turned mute for a few minutes. Finally she calmed herself down enough to talk...
Sydney look up at Zach. She looked at him in the eyes with pain clearly showing through..."Zach...my grandma is dead." She started to baul at those words. Tears were already filling her voice at just saying those words.

All Zach could do was stare at her. Her grandmother was gone? She seemed fine when they moved, other then yelling at him for taking her. "I'm so sorry Sydney. I really am." He cooed to her. He felt bad now. He knew that her grandmother was just like a mother that she never had. "I'll go with you back to the old town whenever you want to see her again." He said. He promised her, when she wanted to go to her grandmother's grave, he would go with her.
Truth was, Zach had no idea how to respond to the news. She was gone, and there wasn't a way to bring her back. He knew that. She wasn't as young as he was, and it wasn't like she could have her heart restarted like he did. He rubbed her back slowly, and held her tight. "Shhh..." He cooed. He didn't know what to do about her now. He just rubbed her back and whispered "Just think, now she will be able to see you all the time." He shivered at that. Her grandmother kind of scared him. Not as much as Gabriel did though.
He moved and hugged her tightly, letting her cry. He didn't know what to say to calm her down at all.
