Justine and Andres should have never said yes. The two were the same age, the went to the same school, but kissing was the worst possible thing to do. Really! There are reasons for stereotypical cliques! The problem with these two was that they, NEVER BACKED DOWN FROM A DARE. Perhaps seven minutes in heaven wasn't the best dare... Well, truth be told, the scene queen and the jock ended up having a great life together. Hey! They even had a kid. Bad news, they were juniors. Bad, right? Worse, they had to quit school and their jobs to get ready for the baby. Worst news, Justine died during birth. Oops. So, here you are, chillaxin' in the waiting room, only to be told, "Sorry dude. Your girlfriend just died 'cuz of your kid. Sucks to be you." Well told, male nurse, well told.
Angry. That's exactly how Andres felt. He hated the baby. He hated her with such a passion, he could barely contain himself. He picked the name. He wanted a boy, so that's what kind of name he was going to give her. Ashtyn. Oliver. Jennings. Quite honestly, this kid was one of the most boyish children one could ever meet. She was only five. Years passed and five became six, six became seven, seven became ten and ten became thirteen. That's when he snapped. Oh, but don't you know? Thirteen is such an unlucky number!
It became a daily thing, you know? Just a slap, kick and punch a day. It kept the happiness away. For this reason and this reason alone, she started involving herself, to an extreme amount, into sports. She got to vent her anger at something her dad always wanted her to do. Kicking soccer balls, she pretended they were his head, punching bags became his stomach and her anger slowly melted away with each game.

Once Adonis took the dazzling ring from her palm, she nodded happily. Intending to make small talk, she conveniently ignored, erm... failed to notice, Adonis's look. One look at Adonis and Sawyer did a double take. Her eyes widened considerably as he slid the ring off of the red-head's finger. A wave of relief washed over her as she heard him say who was tallest received the ring. Aeron was taller. This happiness was short lived. Her head snapped up as she heard her name and suddenly, her hand was in the air. She let her sea foam orbs enlarge to the size of saucers as she felt the small but noticeable weight on her finger. With the slightly-too-large ring in place, Sawyer stared at it. Her jaw dropped as she slowly processed what had happened.
Once realization struck her, she let out a small squeak before tugging the ring off her finger in an abrupt fashion. Holding the ring away from her, she looked from Aeron to Adonis. No! Are you crazy! You don't like me! No! I mean, I'm flattered, but still! You love AERON! Idiot! Gah! Uhm... She began to ramble, still unsure of where to put the ring. Within seconds she was standing in front of Aeron and Adonis, her arms and legs flailing. The sixteen-year-old forced the ring into Adonis's grasp. Sawyer let out a quick shriek before falling on the soggy ground.
Landing on her buttocks, Sawyer took a tentative glance upward and let her gaze wander to Aeron. Practically afraid for her life, the small girl blinked. Please don't be mad at me. I'm not even sure why he did that! I mean, I am probably three years younger than him! And I don't even know him that well! Plus! He loves you! Hence the ring! I mean, I'm sure he was-- Rambling, the girl was cut off after most of her rant was over. She bent her head in shame. Slowly, she stood up, trying not to fall back down. With her bag in hand, Sawyer took cautious, small side steps to the railing.
Unsure if Aeron was angry, she kept her gaze at her feet. Her shoes were caked with mud and her outfit was still in a mess, almost as bad as her hair.
